Celia Ramos
Celia Ramos Sánchez holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, a postgraduate degree in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in International Cooperation from the University of Alcalá and a master's degree in Water Resources Engineering from Lund University. She is currently a PhD candidate on drought risk management in relation to aquatic ecosystems at the Complutense University of Madrid and the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. Her research explores how existing drought policies consider freshwater ecosystems, as well as the potential of seasonal forecasting to innovate traditional water allocation policies during drought towards more sustainable approaches that prevent disproportionate degradation of aquatic ecosystems.
Previously, she worked as an engineer in the control center of Canal de Isabel II and also has professional experience in the field of environmental hydraulics and ecohydrology. Her main interests lie in the analysis of public water policies and the proposal and implementation of climate change adaptation strategies and tools, both from a social and environmental justice perspective.
Ángela Osorio
Ángela Osorio. Social researcher, currently associated with the University of Strasbourg. PhD in Geography from the University of Strasbourg (2022), Master's in Geography from the University of Lyon (Jean Moulin Lyon 3) (2018), Public Administrator from the Public Administration High School of Bogotá, Colombia (2015). Her work as a researcher has focused on issues of water governance, management of protected areas, socio-environmental conflicts and participatory processes. He has participated in research projects in Colombia, Spain and France, both with Universities and with non-governmental organizations. He has published several articles in international magazines. He regularly participates in conferences and university courses related to his research topics.

Carles Sanchís Ibor
Carles Sanchís Ibor. MSc in Geographic Information Systems (University of Girona) and a PhD in Geography (University of València), has worked as a researcher at the Valencian Center for Irrigation Studies (CVER) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) since 2000, and as lecturer in the Department of Geography of the University of Valencia (UV) since 2001. He has developed his research activity on water from various perspectives, from hydraulic policy and political ecology to fluvial geomorphology, but mainly focusing on Mediterranean irrigation, river systems and wetlands. He is also founder and member of the board of trustees of the Fundació Assut, focused on the protection of Mediterranean wetlands and traditional irrigation systems, and President of the Governing Council of the Albufera Natural Park (Ramsar site). Nuria Navarro Andrés
Nuria Navarro Andres. Bachelor´s Degree in Biological Sciences (5-years degree) and PhD in Marine Sciences. She is a professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid) and coordinator of the Coastal and Marine Research Group (ZOCOMAR). She has been a researcher at two CSIC centers, the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN, Cadiz), where she completed her doctoral thesis, and the Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Studies (IMEDEA, Balearic Islands), as a postdoctoral researcher. She has worked as Higher Scientific Officer at the Dunstaffnage Marine Laboratory (DML, Centre for Coastal & Marine Sciences, UK).
Her research interests focus on aquatic systems, specifically on the study of metabolic balances and carbon fluxes, the ecology of planktonic communities (autotrophic and heterotrophic) and biogeochemical cycles, as well as the effect of global change on these processes. Nuria has worked in different aquatic systems: oceans, coastal areas, wetlands, estuaries, lakes, etc., in different geographical areas: Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, North Sea, Caribbean and polar areas: Antarctica and Arctic.
At the same time, she maintains other parallel lines of research, such as integrated coastal zone management, mainly in Central and South America, and water education and water quality in rural communities in Central American countries.

She has over 25 years of experience in research and consultancy focused on water policy evaluation and design, institutional analysis, water economics, urban water management, human right to water, public participation and drought risk management. She has worked with non-profit organizations, universities and research institutions, local, regional and national administrations, the European Commission and the World Bank. She is the author or coauthor of over 90 publications related to different aspects of water governance and is a regular lecturer on water governance..
